I would like to have a good relief pattern of Chief Joseph of the Nez Perce tribe. I have played around with numerous photos, but don't have the skills to build a nice one.

Any help is appreciated - I will gladly pay for a good pattern!
Thanks,
Colleen

Wow! Thanks for the quick responses! Maybe I should have asked before I spent so many hours trying to do it myself! Of course, I won't learn much if I don't try it - and it makes me much more appreciative of good patterns!!

Had a little time to work on this again yesterday. Putting in the details, and once that is done the pattern should be done.

Would you mind sharing a quick summary of the software and process you are using on this pattern? This is an area that I really struggle with and you're making this look really good.

Doug, thanks, as far as John, may never get as good as he is.

Chevytrucking, I use Moi and zbrush. Zbrush to sculpt what you see here. Moi3d to make the initial pattern shape.

Thanks John, I uploaded the wrong images of the zb and ptn. Now they are correct, and you are right, the more you look at the face the more changes you want to make. This one is .625 deep

51335 My lesson in height and portrait import. And in attachments to the forum. The .mpc is too big to post, and ??? I don't have winzip on this computer? I was going to share it without the finished project - but oh well. BTW, the Chief did have a stroke or palsy or something that caused his left side to droop - but I'm not sure how old he was...

Looks as though I'll be back in the shop tomorrow... After some design time in the a.m.

I'm learning something new every day - thank you to all who are willing to share and help out!!!

Just updated the file on my server. I think the jaw and mouth is closer now.

Colleen, please do not post the MPC with the pattern here on the forum. If someone wants the pattern they can purchase it from my site.
