Here are pics of my first "real" project. Real meaning I actually spent a few minutes sanding and paint/staining. You would never guess my first time finishing ir I actuall did the opposite with the text. I had the stain everywhere except the top or the text itself where I colored with a black paint pen. I went to go back and touch up a little tiny sliver and stupid me pushed the top of the paint den down to get a little more paint. Pushed it down on the piece, needless to say paint pen went in all the nooks and crannies. Try to clean out could not get all so I slopped in flat black latex paint, let dry then sanded and stained entire piece wis oak stain. It not the Taj Mahal but for a newbie I love it. Something not alot of people don't do is put info on their projects which would have been a great help to minimize the learning curve a little so here we go.
