Broken Z Truck can it be fixed?

As I was making a small carve a piece of the Ztruck fell out on to my board. Here is a picture out of carvwrights manual detailing the problem.

I have sent an e-mail to carvewright CS and am awaiting a reply. I didn't find a detail of the Z truck, so I was wondering if anyone knows what this part is? I am also wondering if anyone has been in their Z truck and replaced this part? I'm guessing that this is an entire truck change, but I'm hopeful that I can just replace the little plastic part. I'm a little disappointed I have only had the machine for about 3 months. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance for any help.

Robert,

That is part of the OLD homing sensor. It is not longer needed to run the machine. Any remaining parts can also be removed. Look inside the Z truck at the opening where the part goes. Make sure not other pieces and hanging loose inside the truck.
