PKUNK
I have a design that I would like to appear as a raised
carbing. (like your elk....very nice by the way). I am
enclosing the design. Can it be done.

I'm not sure.... I think you'd have to redesign the origonal to have more height, more of a 3D look.

Normally you just build a square/rectangle/circle/oval behind the image and use "Carve Region" to bring the area behind the carving down. But because yours is all together, the space behind the carving is actually part of the carving. Without the original I can't say which is the best method, but either import the pattern in again and raise/lower/reverse it until the background disappears or eliminate the background in the original.

That's my 2 cents.

Ramlin, it's kinda hard to tell from the carving file...

Is there any way you can post the original image so we can take a look at it? Like Pkunk said, it may need to be re-drawn if the quality of the image is not that great...

Also that allows you to assign different grayscales and gradients to the objects you want raised, recessed, etc..
