I purchased my machine from Sears 3 days ago. It worked great for the first 3 pieces. It then began to make a noise that I realized later was the begining of the end. While cutting my fourth piece, the cable between the motor and the bit snapped off. I was out of the room. The rubber housing was melted in several spots. It appears the cable was binding inside the housing. I returned it back to Sears after calling Carvewrite and getting voicemail. Fortunately Sears has a good return policy.

It was great while it was working. I'm dissapointed as I created a great door surround for the kitchen.

Suggestions for Carvewrite:

1) Make the machine more durable.
2) Build in an attachment for a vac to remove the sawdust as it carves.
3) Build in a shield behind the carving bit armiture to protect the motor from the dust created by the machine.
4) The software could use more symbols. I outgrew the basic set quickly and the quality of the ones created from imported images is not as good as those that came with the software.

Let me know when the kinks are worked out. I'd love to buy another one...that works.
