Kindle Project from Steve

I have been following Steve's work for a while .... he does some awesome stuff. I thought that you guys might want to see this one - I could see the CarveWright making these.

Only problem so far is I didn't get the slot that keeps the kindle from flipping out calculated right and the recess laid out taking too small of bits for softwood.

Update on Kindle box. I've recarved the box and fitted the lid.

Still didn't get the slot that keeps the Kindle from slipping out positioned right so I'll have to figure something out for that. I think that I'll probable just cover the end with foam. Hopefully that will provide enough friction to keep the end in place.

I'm not sure if there is enough room for the washers in the lid for the latching system but the fit is tight enough that it really doesn't need it.

I put a little grip on the back.
