I am trying to take this image
http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l89/gunracksonline/bfl1.jpg
and make a pattern.
I go into pattern editor and remove the black background and get this.
http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l89/gunracksonline/bfl1a.png
save it a an image and upload it to the designer software.
when i place it on a board I get this
http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l89/gunracksonline/bfl1b.jpg
I don't want the box around it just the design.
could someone point out what i am doing wrong or point me to a tutorial to figure it out?

When you bring the image into designer, in the dialog box try lowering the pattern to remove the background and select floor edges.

Thanks that work except I had to select invert. It was taking the design away and leaving the bacl\kground. but when i selected invert it worked.
Thanks

Is this the pattern you want? It was accomplished in Pattern editor.

Not sure how you want to use this pattern, it kind of looks like some type of a gear. It may need to be resized - not too much data here???

It is actually the face of the firing bolt assemble of a AR15/M16.
I have been asked to make a sign for someone and they wanted it added to it.
I have to get permission to use it since it is copyrighted. The guy is friends with the people who owns has the copyright to it.
He is going to get the permission for me.

Have another question.
found the answer, it is the feather function.
On this carving, The top and bottom inside edges are slopped. Is there a setting to do this?
