Does anyone have patterns for swimbait? My cousin just asked me about carving one of these fishing lures:

https://www.google.com/search?q=ms+slammer&hl=en&rlz=1C1CHMP_enUS291US304&prmd=imvns&source=lnms&tbm=isch&ei=TTjZTtXpAqXv0gH-h_ScDQ&sa=X&oi=mode_link&ct=mode&cd=2&sqi=2&ved=0CAsQ_AUoAQ&biw=1122&bih=876

It looks like a fairly simple design. I think he would like to do the finishing himself.

This is really not swimbait, Mirror Image Capability (http://forum.carvewright.com/showthread.php?t=8608&highlight=rattle), but it could be modified

And Connie the answer is yes, your Machines can carve out Fishing Lures if ya use a little imagination.

I told him it could, but he wants proof. I think he is looking for a START U or other forum member to do it for him.

The Mpc is Double Sided, should be almost cut through, and can be finish cut with a razor knife.
A few years ago, the ones I made, I cut the tails out of an old 10 speed bike innertube with a ¾” Wood Chisel,
and made the Dive Plate on the front of the lure from some of clear plastic bingo chip markers Barb had.
I got the epoxy paint and ¼” SS Eye screws at a local TrueValue Hardware store.
The finished size Nose to Tail was ¾” x 6 ¼” But you can color and size them to what you want or need.

That looks great, I'll send him the picture and see if he likes it.

Thanks,
