View Full Version : I'm looking for any retro 80's cartoon logo's like G.I. Joe, He-man, Thundercats, ECT
I'm a huge geek, and i want to make signs for my room. I got my carvewright about a year ago and have not been able to find any thing really cool yet!

You could just find the logos online and draw them using the free GIMP 2D graphics program. Then use them as hieght maps in designer.

Here's how I would do it...
find lineart online... coloring book pages are another great source
use coreldraw to turn the page into a bmp and do an outline trace to give it vectors
export from coreldraw as a DXF
import into the carvewright using the dxf importer
give the different vectors different depths of carve or use a v-bit on the vectors
paint and enjoy!
...just remember that all these items are protected by the legal owners' copyrights... I can't imagine anyone is going to cause a ruckus if you're doing it for yourself, but I wanted to be sure you were aware anyway.

I enjoy doing it and helping at the same time. Just paying it forward for all the help I received from the forum.
