Thanks Tom, Sharon, and Henry for your kind words.
This project only takes a 18"x5"x.25" board (not counting the 7" rule). Normal board of .75 can easily be cut to .25" using a standard band saw, or use actual board thickness, and a carrier board or sled.

And here is the next business card holder I was thinking of. Not on my site yet, maybe tomorrow afternoon.

Ed, I think you are onto something here! You could do hot rod wheels (Google Torque-thrust d), tractor wheels, Racing Slicks, Motorcycle tires, Tank tracks, Landing gear... How about something like a motorcycle wheel, with a fender and forks.

What is the wheel you modeled? I am not familiar with that lug bolt, don't they usually have six sides? I really think these are awesome! You could develop a whole series of them. You could carve names in the tires to personalize them.

badbert you have privat message sorry

Bert the final one has 6 sides. That was a fast one to see how it would look. And yes I have already put a name on the tire, just automotive for now but can be anything. Automotive as a place holder showing that a name cane be attached.
Yet you got the ideal, this can be a series of business card holders. And I think could be a great seller for the carvers out there. I have searched and not found anything like them on the net.

Oh and Bert Thanks.

Agree with Bert on maybe some motor cycle wheels with fenders. I've got a few buddies with Harleys that would really like like something like that.

nicely done!! There aren't many wooden carry along card holders out there either. Those would be a good place for the motorcycle stuff carved on the surface

Thanks everyone. These projects will either be for sale, or go into production. For now the wagon wheel has been disabled on my site. I am looking into possibility of having these made and either I sell them, or contracting to have them made and sold by others like yourself. Until I decide I will continue to make new patterns. Then make the decision. Yes motorcycle is one, a bear sides with double card holder between them is another, the list goes on and on as to what can be done.

Here is the final of the automotive business card holder. It can be personalized on the wheel, with a name of choice.

Thanks John and Tom. I believe in a few weeks each of these will be in a store, so I will be able to see how the sales goes, and if it is worth making more designes. I have already made the black bear card holder, with logs between the bear on each side, and the holder. Here is an example of it. This does not show the detail of the bear that well.

Great job as usual, Ed. I also wanted to let you know that the pattern you did for me on the surveyor cartoon is still going strong. I just finished the 10th clock for the customer we were dealing with and he really likes them. I know it was a challenge, but it has turned out to be a great pattern and well received. I always appreciate your help ....

I wish to buy some pairs of the carvewright horse corbels . Purchased a pair on e bay but that seller is no longer selling. Would love to find a North Carolina carver in the Asheville area as I have some great wood that might be used as well.

I was instructed to use the forum to find a carver that might supply but am not sure if I am in the correct spot on the forum for this. My computer skills are limite

Did you get taken care of?

I bought the pattern and gave her a quote, but never heard back.
I guess she wanted me to give them to her.

Ouch! Didn't see any follow up so was just checking. I hate when that happens though, because of it I've made sure to explain in detail the process and collect up front. Sorry to hear brother.

I was going to buy the pattern anyway, no loss. You are correct I always get at least 50% down on custom work of any kind, large or small.
