Can someone please convert these two STL files into one sided carveing patterns for me?

or can this be made into a two sided carving?

The Tire file is 3" dia and the Tire2 is 2.125" dia

Thanks to anyone who can do this

dvel56 both of those are 30" by 7.5" deep. What size and depth do you want them to be?

Here is a tire I have made sometime back. If you want this one let me know by sending me a PM with your email address. Have yet to make a pattern from this model.

Here you go-- Man, you have GOT to get the STL importer if you have the means. It makes life so much easier (and is on sale right now)

Glad to help,
Lawrence

We just got an email notice a day or so ago. It's a Halloween sale on machine and extras, which also shows 10% off all software.

The store price may not show the reduced price, but you will get the savings applied to your order.

That is the problem I'm having with trying to import the stl. I can't figure out why the dimensions are so big?
I drew the models in Solidworks and the model dimensions are 3" dia. x .75 dp and 2.125" dia x .75 dp respectively Why are they comeing out at the 30" x 7.5" dp dimensions?

Lawrence

Why are the patterns non-concentric? Should they not be the same dimension both X and Y ? they come in as an oval not a circle?

Dvel56 I am not sure why either. I do not own solid works so I can not test it out. I have used autocad and the drafting program I use and they bring them in the right size.

You can also render that STL in MeshLab, a free program. - Set the light, color and smooth the image, then use the depthmap.gdp function, adjust the uniform variables to make the Grayscale image. (Easy and fast to do).
