Got a Check Cut Motor error and found that the flex cable had separated from the plastic termination at the cut motor. The cable simply fell out. Don't think that I've seen this particular failure before. Glad this happened at start up so my 1/8" bit was not broken. It appears the plastic end was simply glued onto the cable, not molded on or mechanically secured. I roughed up the inside of the plastic end and cable sheath (which you can see in the photo) and debated over what type of glue to use, as the sheath did not fit tightly into the plastic termination and there was a gap to fill. I ended up using silicone sealer. Hope the repair holds up.

I just got a new cable assembly and noticed the heavy glue on the end. It's clear sso it could be a
silicone product.

Might be a Post Manufacturing LHR fix in Texas with the Extra Glue..... What model do you have? A, B, C? Is it the original Flex?
