is there software necessary to use the scanning probe? I just bought a new one on ebay for $179. Looking forward to trying it out.

Thanks

Yes. It's called pattern editor. If it is truly new and never used the activation code us on the back of the disk inside the box. If it has been activated it is nontransferable and you got taken. I hope it is truly new...otherwise it will cost you another $199.99.

I see people get ripped off on eBay all of the time. Guy bought an A series for $1300 the other day. I felt so bad for him!!

Fingers crossed and try to activate it if it is there.

RobI hate to be the bearer of bad news, however, the probe and software from LHR is $299.00.
The software alone is $199.00. In either case, the software is non-transferable. Many times you may find the probe and software on sale at LHR.

Many times the probe alone, from LHR, runs about $50.00.
Of course, there is a $12.00 shipping charge either way you buy from LHR!

Thanks for letting me know, I have not paid for the auction yet so I have emailed the seller and asked him about the code. I informed him that without the code the unit is new and I will pass on the item. I have been a seller for a long time on ebay, I know the rules and I am a power seller with 100% positive feedback so I can work it out with the seller but if he does not have the code I will not complete the auction but instead let him offer it to the next highest bidder and I will pay his fees for listing (to be fair). His final fees will be returned when we mutually agree to not complete the auction.

Thanks for the quick and very good information.

Remember it is not just whether he has the code but whether it has been previously activated.

I am guessing that he does not have it or it is already activated it as he has not answered. He advertised this as a new unit so I am guessing that it is actually used!!
