Yesterday I asked the question on how to get fonts in my library to carve and I received great responses but the one about TTF (truetype fonts) was the one that clicked with me. Being in the decorative arts business for 25 years and using a plotter for over 12 years I have used alot of TTF but also a lot of dingbats which are very unfriendly to cut but when it comes to carving they would be a snap. Below I have snapped a screen shot of the Batman logo which needed no work and instantly became carve able art. If you are looking for fonts which are 100% free for personal use check out this website:
www.dafont.com
while there check out the area called dingbats. I know that most of you probably already know all about fints and dingbats but in case you do not check it out!
