yup, been there, done that... break out the board stretcher ;)

On a serious note, I do it a lot less now that I use story sticks as often as I can

I have a board stretcher I could sell you. You could make it yourself, but it's kinda complicated.

Done that recently. Dang thing was it was exactly the length in the plans. Checked 50 times and everything was what it was suppost to be. The plan was wrong, I should have checked everything before making it. I thought something was wrong, but did not pick it up till the two parts were made. Only time I was right, all other 1,000,000 times I was wrong.

Maybe we should request that in a future firmware release... and "undo" button on the machine. How sweet would that be!

Not a problem. Just shorten the outside ones. Remember everything that is handmade is unique in itself.

The "undo" operation in hidden in the menu of the machine. I can reveal how to get to it for $100. But it's a very complicated operation, involving reversing the dust collector to blow the sawdust back into the CW, and reversing the rotation of the cut motor. Also you need to install my special "glue dispenser" attachment ($1699.98 ) to the Z truck. Once you got all that in, you are good to go :-)

Make a second one and build from the shorter part.... Call it a Matching Set.... Minni and Maxie... OR make them Stackable.....

Just cut the piece in half using 2 dowels cut a block to the correct size. Drill two holes in the block all the way through and an inch or two on the other 2 ends use Gorilla glue. Clamp together and you might want to take 2 thin boards the correct size and shape and attach on each side Or may be best to make 2 new ones?!
