Hi.....I just received my 1/4" Corian and I'm ready to try my first Lithopane.....I plan to follow the instructions from the Tips & Tricks and I was just curious if anyone could offer me any additional information based on your first attempt.
The portrait that I'm planning to do is a B&W photo.....is B&W photo's ok to work with or should I use a color pic.....thanks for any additional information you can offer me.

use the highest resolution photo that you can-- it makes a difference

Also, have fun-- lithophanes are a blast to make

Adjusting the height setting is almost like a contrast ... so depending on the degree of light and dark in your photo you may want to adjust it - 450 seems to be an all around general setting. A height setting of 999 makes very dark spots and 100 will almost make the entire lithopane look washed out ... something that I have learned along the way.
