I've been using homemade sanding mops, but came across this Sand-O-Flex and it looks like a better option, as the abrasive is oriented in the right direction. Curious if anyone has any experience with it.

Yes, years back when I did larger wood pieces, had not thought about them in years, it might work out for the carvings.

I believe Lowe's & Home Deport sell something like this if not this and so do some of the woodworking stores.

I might pick one up this weekend and give it a go.

I've been using a sanding mop from Stockroom supply. I use thier 6", 4" and 1 1/2". I've been happy with them.

This appears to have advantages over sanding mops. The abrasive surface is directly facing the work, and there are brushes behind the abrasive to gently force the abrasive onto the surface. It appears easy to renew the abrasive as it wears as well.

Looks to m e, like the abrasive surfaces are larger than a mop so it wouldn't get into the tight spaces as well. I have been using my 220 grit mop for about 7 years I think and it still works. My 180 grit mop is newer.
