Here's the 1st really stupid question I'm going to have. Where is the serial number of the machine found ?

Not stupid. People ask that all the time!! On front of machine where electrical comes out. Two letters dot three numbers dot three more. Enter as all caps and enter periods. See learning lab - getting started on website.
