So you've been a forum member for four years and this is your first post?

I recognize the picture and the name. Is this the first picture you've posted?

The project looks great by the way! Good job! Post some more!

I think you mean this is the first time to post a photo or attachment?

You have commented on threads before. That is a post, just not an attachment.

Or maybe first time to start your own thread?

Either way, you did great carving, starting a thread and posting!!

Capt Berry, that looks very nice. I love nautical designs.

I'm guessing that you meant it's the first time you started thread. ?.

That is beautiful, I have been looking for something nautical to make for my father-in-law who had lived all his life around the Chesapeake Bay and now lives outside Denver and haven't seen anything else nearly as nice as that.

I was struck by the way the grain of the wood worked to enhance the picture. The dark grain worked as the horizon with non-prominent grain for the lower sky and the more prominent grain as the cloud cover.

I really try and work the grain all the time. Free pattern from Mother Nature. Capt Barry

Capt B. Good luck with the hurricane, I lived in Fla. and been through a number of them. My only advise is if they tell you to leave, please do.
