I'm Trying to clean up my Carolina panthers Plaque for my game room and I need help. I had to do away with most of the logo and just do the symbol and then put in my own lettering and it just doesn't look quite right. Just wondering if anyone else could do better 4664246643.4664446641

Dick wrote a tutorial showing how to do it with paint.net, his technique will work with any of the photo editing programs. I believe it is in the tip section of carvewright.com. So the answer is yes, it just takes experimenting to get it the way you want it. Even with shadermap pro, some editing of the image may be necessary. Images such as the panther you uploaded were the right colors for shadermap pro, making it easier to make the pattern from it. As with any technique you use, if you are using an image editor you need to understand the gray scale used in designer when importing images. Some images after importing can be edited using pattern editor within designer, if you have the that software.

Most of the patterns I make are done using 3D software, and can be purchased or for some, downloaded free from my web site.
