Finally finish this sign pattern. size is 10x22x.375

Helped move a friend yesterday, and this morning was spent putting down week killer in my pasture. We got some good rain last week, the weeds survived the drouth. Now if I get them gone, maybe the grass will grow. I am already feed hay to my horses, and there is no hay to be purchased around here.

I am hoping the hay suppliers get another cutting this year, and their pastures survived.

Was just up in the high country last week and they are doing their one cutting for the year of some of the best hay in the country. Top dollar but I think most of it goes to the big stabbles.

Thanks everyone.

LG yes it is zbrush, and Moi3D. Liked Silo but it was not easy to do 2.5D, true 3D with quads was great. The tiki was mainly Moi3D with a little sculpting in ZB.

Floyd, the big ranches up north are buying all the surplus down here. Texas is hard pressed for hay too. No one got a second cutting. If the rain continues every 3-4 days now, the pastures will recover.

Very nice set of guns!

Is this a pattern with all guns or do they come as individuals?

Tom, floyd and Kenm thanks for the comments.

eelamb

I made the guns as singles, here they are as individuals.

eelamb
08-26-2011, 09:11 PM
keeping with the guns theme, I made this sign pattern from an image I found.

eelamb
08-31-2011, 06:02 PM
Again keeping with the guns theme, here is the first of a series of a western pistol.
This pattern is a front and back with depth of .75 each, giving you a pistol (if both are carved) of 1.5" thick by 8.33 by 4"
Or you can change the depth and size to add the pattern to your sign or other carving.

Plus another of the sign of cowboy leave your guns.

b.sumner47

Quite the series , you've got go'in on ,Eddie. Capt Barry

fwharris
08-31-2011, 09:35 PM
Eddie,

Good looking 6 shooter! Is this modeled after a specific gun?

Stick this one in your cowboy sign!

eelamb
08-31-2011, 09:48 PM
Floyd, no actually it came about because of experimenting. I started making a cylinder in Silo, which became the chamber, from there I started making the rest of the pistol. It was as John said all done by eye, with nothing but an ideal.

Yes I was thinking of placing this gun on that sign. And changing some text so it will carve better. All takes time. LOL

Thanks Doug but it has been 4 days since I showed one I had made. When I had the time I have been experimenting with a few pattern ideas, some turned out OK but most were BAD LOL
All went to the deleted items. Until today I decided to make something I figured I could accomplish.

Just finished this one, a scarecrow pattern, it is 8x9x.25 and can be sized to your needs.

I think I made this pattern about 4 times before I decided to keep one. Or maybe I just got tired of it and accepted this one anyhow.

Reminds me of my grandfather who used to take his pulling horses all over the east coast for pulling contests. He never had shires that I recall. He was partial to Belgians and Percherons.
