The last of the rosary boxes, one is red cedar, one is spanish cedar and the other 3 are stained red mahogany. The woods are maple, cypress, and popluar. I have already sold on the red cedar.
Time to move on to something else.

I used the Tips and Tricks from MT to do the Piercied method.
ISSUE 23 August 2009 – Custom Tabs for Full-Depth Cut Outs (http://www.carvewright.com/downloads/tips/CarveWrightTips&Tricks_Aug09.pdf).I found it brought the patterns edges down to bottom
without much thickness being left at the bottom.
Give it a try.

Those turned out beautifully-- I'll bet you'd do even better sales wise if you offer customization

Very nice, thanks for sharing

Those are really super!

Mind giving me the basic dimensions?

I know that the pattern for sale is approx. 6"x4", yours look smaller.

The ovals are 3" x 6 ", the inside oval on the rear side is 2.5" x 4.5 ".
I made them smaller to fit the material I had on hand. the Dboard is 4.5 x 14 " x 3/4".

Thx, Perry

I have a hard time visualizing a finished project.....

Do your boxes fit in a lady's purse ok?

I don't have a set of Rosarys laying around to check for fit (although all my In-Laws do) - do you think your boxes could be even smaller than they are (or do they need to be?)

Very nicely done ... one of the coolest things that I have seen in a while.

Thanks Jason, it all started with Gene Young when I saw his version at the conference.

Very nice indeed. I have been thinking about something similar with desk signs

My version - just a few differences, a bit smaller, and a feather to the Carve Region.

My Mother-In-Law's 92nd birthday today, and I can use all the brownie points I can get.

Used some walnut that was harvested off of her farm about 40 years ago.

Jerry It looks very nice, the wood is special, cause it's from her farm. I like how simple it looks
almost like it was done by hand.
Quailty work too.
I have only 9 left, if I would sell to everybody that saw it, I would not have
any for the craftshow and I don't want to mass produce them either.
It really means somerthing special to the person when you tell them this is one of a kind.
nice work

Perry
now on to the letter openers, 10 or 15 one of a kind.
