Here is a fireplace proscenium I created awhile ago. Stressed my first gen machine to the max.45464

Thats amazing, i never thought about doing something like that. How does it not melt or do they not use the fireplace?

Corian is pretty stable that way. Also it is in New Orleans, not much use.

Hello all. Thanks for the compliments. Total carving time for all the pieces was approximately 20 hours. I first tried it "Cameo" style but that made the background very hard to finish. I ended up making the pieces separate from the background then bonding them on. Had to build roller feed tables just to support the corian. A little tip for carving this stuff: Wherever your carve starts, make sure it is a gradual slope as, if you try to dive the bit right in it will jam and break your bit or your machine.
