I know, I know!

Here are some tips to searching for patterns in the Pattern Depot.

1. Use Advanced Search Option
2. Use "quotes" around your word or words
3. Select Any Word option
4. Select Product Title, Short Description, and Detailed Description

Why do I get all of these patterns that are unrelated to what I am searching for?

1. "cat" will also get "catcher", "cattails", "catholic", "cattle" and any other word that contains "c-a-t" in it.

2. Search works off of the key words that are assigned by the pattern vendor. We have instructed Pattern Vendors NOT to put in keywords that are not related to the pattern. We have also made attempts to clean up the keywords, but with nearing 5,000 patterns, it is a massive job.

Hope this helps!

I was thinking about buying some kind of a softball plaque design and found that a search for "softball" has 0 results. Thats strange.

Go to this link and drop down to Baseball. Something there may get you started.

Once you have the patterns you want, the plaque should be easier.

I presume that you are trying to search the Pattern Depot.
Remember the quotes, and change the search to "Any Word".

Keep your search term as short as possible, try "ball" rather than "softball", as connie said you will get more returns and a lot that may not pertain, but you might find something that works. If the program wasn't written to strip leading and trailing spaces you just type the word cat with a space at the end and you should get all pertaining to cat without the cattails, cattle, etc. Unfortunately this program is written to eliminate the space.

Try sea horse. He might have made it two words.
