first 2 sided carving

I have 2 questions about 2 sided carvings, 1. which side will carve first, front or back?
2. base on that answer which way do I flip the board to set up correctly for the other side?

Normally the back side carves first, partly because all cut outs carve from the Front, -- as I understand it

As Ken said, the back carves first.

When you flip the board, just turn it as if you were rolling over in bed.

When you hit the "front" or "back" button in designer watch how the board flips. There is your answer.

One exception to flpping is , if your making a sign with the same thing on both sides , then you flip end for end.
