Greetings to All, I have a question for the more experienced.
I want to cut a 3/8" deep mortise with the new 3/16" cutting bit. Can I make this cut with 1 pass or should I make 2- 3/16" passes?
Thank you for any advice or any experiences.

Unless the wood is ultra soft, I would probably use the Max-Pass-Depth. of .200

Bud, With a pass of .200 would it still finish .375 deep?
Just finished the cuts at .375 deep, it did not like the cross grain cuts but it finished 20 cuts and all is GOOD!!!
Sorry I forgot to say that the wood is Red Oak .762 thick.

The depth is what you select. The Max-Pass-Depth is what may be milled on each pass until it reaches your set depth.
