I am looking for some different textures other than the ones that come with the designer. Has anyone have any that they are willing to share? I have some bark patterns but they are hard get in odd shaped carve area. Or it is hard for me anyway. What I have a sign I am tring to make for a friend that has a carved area with rounded corners. When I put the bark pattern in I loss the rounded corners. Maybe there is a way to put the background in with the rounded corners but I am not seeing how. Anyone with any help would be appreciated.

Thanks Stanv

Hi Stanv,
It's not as hard as you think!
This Tips & Tricks Issue #6, from march 2008 is your main lesson.
http://carvewright.com/2010CWweb/tips.htm

My "Download" link, below, also has an adaption of an original LHR lesson titled "Clipping a carving".
In a nutshell, make your carve area and then bring in your bark pattern (making it larger than the carve area). Make sure that your carve area is fully inside your bark.
Now, highlight just the bark, click on the "Carving" selection at the top of your screen.
Next, select "Clip carving" > "Clip Inclusive" and you should have what you want.

Thanks Bud

I will have to play with that technique and see if I can get to work. Thanks again
