Can the Y-Motor cause a power fluctation & can you switch the Y & Z motors around ?

hey dave, I don't think the y motor can cause power problems, Al could better answer, but you need to be more specific about your problem. When does the fluctuation occur and exactly what is the problem? The motors are the same, as far as I know except for the additions of the z motor for the board to plug in the board sensor (without looking), but if you're having problems with power fluctation, the y and z motors are probably not the problem. Check this- http://forum.carvewright.com/showthread.php?14917-Power-Fluctuation&highlight=power+fluctuations, and here http://forum.carvewright.com/showthread.php?17811-Yeah-Power-Fluctuations-are-Fun!!!!!!-nope-not-really&highlight=power+fluctuations, and here, http://forum.carvewright.com/showthread.php?6076-Power-Fluctuation-Error&highlight=power+fluctuations. If these don't help, let us know and we'll see what we can do.

Power problems are usually the L2 in the Power Supply... Search "L2 Power Supply" for a bunch of posts on this with pictures.
Use the " " with the search term.
