LHR is making plans to host our first CW Conference on or around May 12th & 13th here in the Houston/Gulf Coast Bay Area (possibly Webster, TX - 13 miles south of Hobby Airport).

The two day conference would include a day of basic seminars and a day of advanced seminars. We are looking at the cost for the conference being around $100 per day for early registrants.

The exact location will be depends on the number of attendees. We may need to limit the number of attendees or find a larger facility which could also affect prices of the seminar.

We are also considering the possibility of sponsors to help deter costs.

Please let us know if you believe you will or will not be able to attend, so that we can do a better job of planning.

This is first being announced on the forum and will later be extended to all of our customers.

This poll is NOT a commitment, but will be used for us to make more intelligent planning decisions.

The poll does not show names of who voted, so if you want to be put on a pre-sign up list, send me an email at marketing@carvewright.com. Spaces may be limited.

I would truly love to attend if I possibly can. I would have to drive down as I can't fly very easily. I will mark it on my calendar and see if there is any possible way I can make it.

The date might conflict with a business trip I have to take but If not or if no conflict I would definitely attend!

I can't vote either. It's because I'm Canadian, isn't it?

Can't vote either, probably because DurhamDev is Canadian. :)
But I sure might be interrested knowing what would be offered in the seminars. Might make the trip worth while.
Also, would there be a side trip to LHR ta see what goes on at the place since a long drive ta make it worth that drive?

No problem.

Forum permissions can be a pain, especially with a large forum like we have here.

I voted, "may be able to attend". what may make up my mind is to know a little more about the seminars. What type of stuff will be covered? a seminar on basic use, machine operation, etc won't do me much good, but a detailed, hands-on seminar on taking this machine apart would be worth its weight in gold. Classes on STL or DXF will be good for those that use it, but not for those who have no need for it. I guess what I am saying is, more info needed.

"HEADS UP! Registration is available online and information will be sent out . ."

Lynnfrwd,
Looked at the Announcement on the home page but what looks like a link to Registration does not lead anywhere. Is this yet to be added for the online registration? Thanks

some a low a $53.00 and $69.00 for over night stays.

Haven't quite hit the 20 yet, but I've had lots and lots of people tell me they are going to attend, they just haven't registered yet. Talked to several people today and even had an attendee register from Alaska!! We have attendees coming from Oregon (SharonB!!!!), Virginia, Cali, Ohio, N. Carolina, Kentucky, and lots of the closer areas like Oklahoma, Louisiana & of course Texas!!! plus more.

I'm sure we will surpass that, just hope we don't have to turn people away. Wouldn't that be an awesome problem to have?!

A couple of years ago, we had a some summer training workshops and filled them up at $200 per person for just one day of training. It was all basics, but with this conference having advanced workshops with guest speakers and with this being our first ever official conference, I'm confident it will be well attended!

I can't wait to meet everyone and put actual faces with the names!!!!
