I got my y axis stall fixed I think but now when I am carving the bit depth seems to be falling at different points throughout my projects. Anyone see this before?

the bit and chuck are tight and my wood is not warped.

Call CW. This sounds like it could be a loose ribbon cable or a bad Z-Axis encoder. They did have a bad batch of encoders (mine had same problem).

Another simpler thing to look for is a loose bit in it's holder. I've had some of my bits loosen up and they float up and down as the machine carves.

Be sure to add locktite to the bit snug bolt into the quick release holder and that shouldn't happen. To release the bolt if there is ever a need, use head (such as a hot air "gun") to loosen the bond or you'll ruin the bolt slot, for sure.
