I just bougth dxf importer to allow me to draw my design in Turbocad. It worked fine to bring over the vectors. The figure outlined with a rounded corner rectangle that I'd like to apply a 1/8" bit with a -0.063 inset so that the bit is outside the line. This will be a piece of jewelry carved out of a 1/4" piece of wood fixed to a sled by carpet tape so I don't need to use a cut path, why by the way, is grayed out for a polyline. Is there any way to apply the negative inset sort of redoing the outline rectangle in thedrawing a half a diameter larger?

I don't know about using the negtive inset, but when faced with this situation, I set the snap to 0.125 and drag the sides into place.

One problem with the rectangle is that the line is not closed, so the offset is unavailable. Goto View and check Toggle Unconnected Endpoints.
