I'm working on a pattern of a world map. Started with USGS bumpmaps that I found on some NASA fan website. With a lot of doctoring the original image, I've got the mountains and terrain looking reasonable, but it would be soooo much better with an "old world" looking compass in the middle of the pacific.

I searched several ways on the forums and haven't come up with anything. Does anyone have a compass pattern that they wouldn't mind sharing?

Here's a basic Compass I just did that you can embellish a bit more if you like

Here is an old style compass rosette. Perhaps one of the pattern gurus can turn it into a pattern or create a new drawing from it. I realize it's a poor picture but perhaps it will give you an idea.

Awesome thanks for all the options. I'm back in website mode at the moment, but I'll be toying with that map pattern again tomorrow.

Thanks again all!

Can you add Antartic? I really like the map!

I spent 45 minutes deleting the poles when I first got the bumpmaps lol.

I'll dig for the originals and post 'em.

Thanks everyone for the compass options. Here's a screenshot of the completed project I'm going to carve. I tried all the different ones and this one looks like it will be the best carve for the small size. I'll put the MPC up if anyone wants it (the clipper ship is a great paid pattern for about $6.00 that I bought from the CW store, so delete that part or pony up if ya wanna leave it in!). Also posting the original bumpmap (with antarctica) per request. Mess with it or import as-is if ya want.
