New CW with approx 5 hrs operating time.

After I install my board and select my project from the memory card, I get an error ...Please Check Homing Sensor...

After I press END it says ...Y/Z Homing Fault 246...

I have installed new board, cleaned and restarted everything several times but no success.

I got it fixed. Talked with the guys at CW and he showed me where the Homing sensor was and all I had to do was blow it out with air and all was fine.

where is the homing sensor, I'm having the same problem

It's mounted to the head. It's the black slotted thing held on with one screw.

Which has to mate properly with the homing flag that's mounted on the wall behind the LCD.

Thanks, for the info. Could cold temp in my workshop cause this? I have blown air in , & reseated the homing sensor and it still reads BLOCKED
i'm in Texas and we have very few cold days, however today is one, just wondering if this might cause it

have you tried taking a clean rag and giving the sensor a once over? it may be some gunk caught up in there.

Yes, I think, The sensor is a little block jobbie with two prongs, right

That's it. The home sensor has a little ribbon cable the runs up behind the Z-Truck and plugs in to a board mounted on the Z-axis drive motor assembly. Some machiens had this calb esome loose. The first machines that went to Sears had a poor type of black silicone adhesive applied. The newer machine have this problem fixed. I also had a loose Z-truck allow the black flag to contact theh sensor and break it. If I wiggled the sensor the reading would change.
