Here is a MAN CAVE, V CARVE that is done with the carving bit. Someone might be able to use it. Carving time shows to be just over an hour, but I haven't carved it yet to verify that.
Enjoy...

Here's another girl pattern that could be used for a man cave sign, something like the picture. I'm sure that someone is more creative than I am, so give her a try. The Girl is all that is in the PTN, so you will have to make up the sign part.

Here is a Miss Curvewright earlier version if you want to use her somehow. This is a two sided carve but maybe you could use the front and the back separately.

With the other patterns here not sure if this is the right place ;)

Here is a ..hmm well..old man/ tree spirit whatever you want to call it..found the drawing on the net..so design not mine..just the modelling. This made very simply by a basic extrusion of the shapes then sculpted in zbrush..I am so loving my new computer - 990 extreme, 12 gb ram, quardo 4000...this box is just humming thru..way more enjoyable to model with vesus the old laptop with duo core..man 4 more cores make a diff.

The pattern was too big to upload..mpc also , so here is the link http://www.carvemore.com/fp_325629/oldman.zip

Hope you like it

Here's the head of a Greek, although I think the source vector is really a Roman.
I sculpted this from a 2D image in Mudbox and loaded the alpha into Carvewright.

The hair is a bit lower than the forehead but otherwise I hope this will look good in someones hallway. The PTN exceeds the forum size limit so I had to upload a .zip.

Man... this was tough as far as where to put it... is it "people" or "holiday" (Halloween)... at any rate, here it is. I'm pretty pleased with the way this one came out.

Hope these are helping-- if anyone carves any of these new 2.5D patterns, please share pics. I probably won't get around to doing any of them until this weekend at the soonest.

Thanks again for all y'all have done,
Lawrence

Well all, here's my first pattern using all Carvewright software in conjunction with freeware. (I used google sketchup's 3d warehouse, the su2stl.rb plugin, the stl importer, and the pattern editor software)

I did quite a bit of work with some of the other free software to try to emulate this effect/model so that I can begin making my own material and selling the patterns in the future... but for now this will have to do.
Hope you like it and as always, your positive or negative feedback is valuable. I'm including both the MPC and the PTN files; please let me know if this is superfluous.

- couldn't let a night go by without a new pattern now could I...

Here is another pattern that I derived with permission from work located on
Artec Group Inc. (http://www.artec3d.com/) here http://www.artec3d.com/gallery/3d-models/
The original STL is from a full bust on a platform, but I think this slice turned out nicely and looks very peaceful. I hope you enjoy it.

once again, I am proud to say that this pattern was done 100% with either purchased software from Carvewright or 100% freeware- no demos/torrents/cracks/ were used in the making of this pattern or the work itself -

Lawrence, nice work on this one. It would look good mirrored and on each end of a carving. Have you gotten into the waco tablet yet. It takes the strain off the mouse usage, and once you get used to it, you will want to use it all the time. I use a graphite 3 on one computer and a bamboo 4x5 on the laptop.

Eddie-- thanks for the tip on the graphics tablet-- I got a Vistab muse from Santa Claus and boy were you right that it helps with modeling... holy cow....

I havent any time in the last couple months to model - moved from East Coast to the West. Finally got some time time today to update Zbrush to 4R5 - they have some really neat new features so got to play around with them a bit. This pattern is in two parts, a sliced two part carve to keep the size and depth. To download it go to http://www.cncmodelclub.com/free-cnc-pattern-tutorials-resources/greenman-3/ Hope someone can use it.

No self portrait Eddie..lol..not even Floyd this time..was playing around with new zbrush insert brushes and panel loops..have some heads I have made a while back..insert brush makes it VERY fast to put things on a model or a plane...the leaves were done seperate then made insert brush out them

Here is a Football Knome that I made from a 3d model. The attached .PTN doesn't have any logo on the hat, and the text balloon isn't a part of the .PTN either.
(You can add your own favorites if you want.) You could make something that one might want in a man cave during football season.

Have fun with it.

If you are not clicking on the shared patterns folder showing all the folders within then you are missing most of the patterns. In shared patterns, look under animals, objects, holiday, and now characters. Each has had patterns placed in them over the last few days. With that said here are two characters.

Thank you. I have a long ways to go before I master that skill.

Glad you are picking up blender. It is a ton of fun to play with. 3d modeling and cnc are a perfect match.

Lizard man from Borneo wanted poster.

A little practice time sculpting and playing with different techniques in building patterns. Here are two different ways into porting into CW designer and you can see the big differences.

Oscar,
Thank you. Looks like I will have plenty of time to build and play with the program. Just got orders to another unit that will be deploying soon, so we will see what I can come up with.

This is kind of a joke. I have a friend who loves the powerpuff girls. She is like 45 years old.

I have no clue what the character's name is but I know she is one of three sisters. I think.

Here is an old man sleeping face pattern for carving (old man in the tree).

I have owned zbrush for over two years and have no real clue on how to use it so started playing with it. Here is my second project (I think) with it. The software is a beast to learn but I'm making small incremental steps.

Hope its of use to someone. I don't plan to carve it so if you do use it please use your good CW skills with it.

Some more sculpting practice. Old man with wrinkles. Pattern natively 5" tall at .4" depth to maintain detail. At full depth really pops.
