PATTERN help

I have been making a pattern that is going to be part of a chair application. When I tried to
make the cuth path some dont want to cut an only comes the bit. I really dont understand why. I would like that somebody tell me what to do;

The patterns aren't all closed Hilda. For example this one is open on the left...

I see but I dont know why it happens. I make this in the pattern editor.

I get that sometimes, too - it might be that the area is simply too small for the lines to be closed.

Sometimes it is easier to zoom in on the area and then close the loop. By zooming in you can also inspect lines and other discrepances that you may not find in a smaller screen shot.
