Well, I still need to paint this one, but it has me so excited I thought I'd share it with y'all... overall oval size is 9.5 x 15.5
Here is yet another sign for a friend's son who requested it. It is an awfully big compliment when LOML asks what someone's child would like for their birthday and the answer is "Could you please make a door sign like you did for __??" (It also doesn't hurt that my total cost in making these signs is about $3 in scrap 1/2 inch MDF and paint-- which is a heck of a lot cheaper than the $20 lego sets that are the usual requests for birthday parties) This one is for a fan of monster trucks....

Some folks have expressed curiousity about carving in MDF-- Here is a close up of the carving and the background-- the MDF carves very crisply and cleanly and stays fuzz free as long as you use the right (shellac based) primer and sand the outside edges a bit after priming.

Here is one last pic showing the depth of carve between elements.

Tomorrow (or tonight if I get off my lazy rear end) I'll remove it from the tabs, spray it with primer, and tomorrow will give it a overall base spray paint and then will paint the lettering and details so that it will be dry in time for the party on Saturday.
Thanks for looking, if these sign posts are getting too repetitive for y'all please let me know.
