Can't Outline Pattern and Cutout

When I tell the software to outline the pattern, it gives me 5 different paths instead of one. One of these patterns looks like the whole outline, but I can't select Cut Path.

I was able to outline it, take a look. You need to highlight the frame and then use the the outline feature, then it will show you cut path. Then click path and it will let you cut the frame out.

Try this one. I grouped the patterns then was able to select cutout.

Thanks for the help. Ike, that's is what I tried, but it just won't work for me on this particular pattern - I did two others very similar that I am trying to carve all at once. I just copied and pasted the outline from your file and set it up on my project
