I started with a new board and tested it with two different projects. The board, approximately 13 1/4 x 7 1/4 measured 13.212 x 7.715 using the Measure function. I first tried it on a project that is 10.0 x 5.25. Using the Project function and telling it that it wouldn't be under the rollers, it measured 13.212 x 10.00. It neasured the length correctly, but reported the board width to be the project length! I then re-measured using the Measure function and tried another project that was 11.6225 x 5.113. This time when I started the project, it didn't even measure but reported that the size was 13.212 x 11.625. Again, it reported that the board width was the project length.

If any one from Carvewright is monitoring, I would aopreciate a diagnosis.

Jim,

I think what you are seeing on the dispaly is: first number is the measured length (13.212), second number is design length (10.0). It is not length/width.

If you are telling the machine yes to staying under the rollers, it is looking to see if you have at least 7" added actual length vs your design board. That is what we call the 7" rule. If not it wll ask if you want to scale the project. If saying NO for staying under rollers and length is greater (7") it should ask, "center on board".

That's it! I was thinkimg that it was reporting length / width. Thanks a lot!

Jim,
If you have not read the tips and tricks take a look at this: http://www.carvewright.com/2010CWweb/downloads/tips/CarveWright_Tips_and_Tricks_Dec07.pdf. It does a better job of explaining it..
