Well, my machine was not pretty... But it decided to snap one tooth of the X Gear... A plastic tag I was cutting for that $1.6K Fire Tag order was sucked off the sheet by the dust collection and dropped back on the sheet... I use double stick tape to hold the individual tags with no tabs. Tabs would fracture and cause edge defects...

Used a wood chisel to cut the plastic away to just pull the big gear off... Worked great.... Then to find the new gear.... I had 2 in my hand a few months ago.... I send one to Ron Justice.... But where was the bag with the other new one today.... Gave up quick and took the one off of IKE's machine that has been slowly donating parts...

So back to cutting and cleaning tags.... When done cutting 120 tags tonight, I then cut 3 wood signs while I cleaned the tags for printing tomorrow.

My machine would have been a candidate for "Still working and miserable looking" 2 weeks ago before I changed the sand paper belts and cleaned everything.... I was down to a 8 inch wide belt.... Have been ripping away for months..... It was dirty nasty too...... When I changed the belts I gave it some TLC and Lubrication....

AL 11PM on a Sunday Night....

Mine has a hole in the muffler. Does that count for anything?

I decided to make a fingerboard using the conform feature on a new instrument. I used Robs quarter sunburst pattern for the tentacles.
here is a peek.

I was looking at my Carvewright today after getting a y rail error and noticed the CW's has removable y glides just like the z truck rods, on the top and i assume on the bottom of the glide, the old QC years ago damage the z glides that i have since replaced. After removing the truck i removed and reinstalled the glide turned 180. If you have a older CW this could be a good idea..

Props go out to LHR for thinking about long term users.
