We have purchased a used CarveWright from the family of a friend who passed away from cancer. Trying to get it to work to build some church furniture but running into an error code of 269. Any help would be appreciated! Also something about a tracking roller error.

We have purchased a used CarveWright from the family of a friend who passed away from cancer. Trying to get it to work to build some church furniture but running into an error code of 269. Any help would be appreciated! Also something about a tracking roller error. Error numbers, in themselves, mean very little as they change with each software version. The real indicator, is the words in the key pad screen.

The "Tracking Roller" is the Brass roller that the wood moves across as it feeds through the machine. If the wood lifts off the roller, or has a flaw that causes it to loose contact, you will get a Tracking Roller message.

It is, always, a good idea to attach your MPC with your post, so others may have a better idea what your project entails.
Boards longer than 30+ inches work better, if you provide additional roller support about 2 feet from the machine and every 2 or 3 feet after that. This keeps the board from acting as a lever. The only things that actually press down on the wood are two rollers on the bottom of the head, which are about 3.5 inches from the cutting/carving bit.

I suggest that you spend some free time reviewing the various manuals, Tutorials, Tips, Videos, and other documents available.
My "Download" link, below, will point you to many of these helps.
