We were asked today,

Will it (the CW) carve Expanded PolyPropylene (EPP)?

We have not tried to carve it and do not know.

This prompted us to ask you:

What materials have you successfully carved in the CW?

(not counting those we have already approved such as wood, MDF, plywood, High Density Urethane (HDU), polystyrene, formica, cast acrylic, corian-type, and polycarbonite)

PVC Board.... And Plastic Wood Fiber Decking.... Both carved great. The Decking was heavy.

This is PVC Board covered in Reflective blue Vinyl.

Couldn't find the picture of the Green Wood Fiber Decking I was cutting into a sign. Cut well.

Has anyone tried to carve PolyPropylene? I was given two white pieces 8"wx40"Lx1' thick. Not sure what to carve but would like to try something.

I carved Mammoth Tusk, yes it's legal. Actually did an excellent job, really glad the shop has a great vac system, cutting it gives off a really bad odor even when sanding.

** AL ** - You were able to carve through the reflective blue vinyl? So, your CW machine's Board Sensor was OK with the vinyl??

I tried to carve a PVC board that was painted gray and my Board Sensor would not see the surface...?

I have an old CW machine from 2008. Does that make any difference???
