is thier any way to save a design as a jpg or something readable by another computer so i could send a design to a possible customer

If you have vista or win7 use the snipping tool under accessory, in all programs. Other than that search for any screen capture program on the net, or use the screen print key, open your favorite image editing program, and paste it to the program (even MS paint), crop the image to include onoy the design and save it. http://www.getpaint.com has a good free editing program.
For winxp search for screenprint32, it is a good screen capture program.

"ctrl"+"Shift"+"Prt Scr" then open Word and "Paste"
This works on a PC don't know the procedure on a Mac but I know that there is a similar procedure on them.
Once the "clip" is in Word (or similar program) you can crop it down to the virtual board and then either send it as a word document or "copy" the picture and past it into your email client.

Hope this helps. I'm sure there are more elegant ways to accomplish this but this one is easy and doesn't require any software other than what you probably already own.
