Ok, I know this is kind of a dumb question, but is there an easy way to make a large circle. Say 36", and not with a bandsaw

What tools do you have available? You can use a router and a simple trammel jig...

Here is a ready made Trammel, or you could make your own.

Mine is a piece of 1/4" plywood scrap 6x30". I just drill a hole for whatever radius I want.

I would buy some 1/4 inch MDF board, double stick two peaces together and cut out a jig in the CW unit, add the seven inches to the boards
If you do not have a router; I found a hand held one from Harbor Freight it was about $19.00 on sale some times I also purchased several bases for Jigs the cost was about $5.00 each, did take several months to get it from China. To me it was a good investment.

I use this method on my table saw...

[edit] I found a similar but different method for a tablesaw circle... it doesn't seem as smooth to me, but it doesn't leave a hole in the center... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wxbzrf4z_cg

Thanks for all the replies. I'm going to look at all of them in a few minutes. A while back, I bought a circle cutting jig at Lowe's for my jig saw, and what a piece of crap. I could have cut a better circle with a butter knife. They did have a circle cutter for routers but it required a plunge router, and I did not have one.
