Looking for other ETSY Sellers

I am looking for other folks that are selling on ETSY to form a group. Etsy actually has a grant program where they will give a group money to advertise. I think that in today's economy we can band together to help promote each other.

Not familiar with Etsy go check it out. 20 cents per item to list them and they take 3.5 percent ... plus if you are using PayPal you will pay your fees there as well. Comes to around 5% ... but 95% of something is better than 95% nothing. They also have programs (and they cost money ... about 7 bucks) to help you promote your store and feature your items.

If you band together with me I will help you set up your store and help you build your images for your store.

I dont know if ill list any thing there i had never herd of it before but that looks like a really good place to find a lot of unique items and a lot are cheeper than you could do it yourself acoarse it goes the other way also. Thank for the link

I actually just started selling my stadium coin displays on there. I only listed one just to see how it would do. The fees seem about how they were on eBay when they first started. I like the fact that it is all hand made. My handle on there is "Stadiumdisplays".

To me the main purpose is strength in numbers ... if you list 2 items in your store or even a dozen people don't stick around very long. If you have more stores with different items all listed under the same group and sharing some type of common theme ... like woodwork or carving then that is a draw.

You have a great looking product there .... to capture people and get them to stick around a little longer you might want to put a banner image and tell them a little about you, sometimes your story will sell the item. Judging by your avatar you spent time in the military, that is a point that would make me want to buy from you. If you take a minute and come up with a short bio, put that on your Etsy page I think you will see an increase in traffic.

LRW, I dont know how you did that but thank you very much. That really did make a difference. I listed some of my other models just to see how they would do. I still have yet to sell anything yet but I am still selling quite a bit on ebay.

LRW appreciate the opportunity. You can count me in. Didn't see your post until yesterday. Sure sounds and looks like good way to do things. Team concept sounds interesting in some ways but leary in other. Maybe i need a little more info about it.

Yes the corn looks great this year ... lots of rain early in the year and lots of 90 plus degree days to help it grow.

As for competition, I think we kinda have to enter into this knowing that is possible ... but you have to weigh the benefit of the guy that is selling stuff being on your team. We all kinda do things a little differently so I think we all have the chance to benefit from this group.
