I am guessing that this is the right place to ask this question

I see two machines on the market
both with a four figure Price Tag,
The CarveWright and The Sears CompuCarve
Which both look the same or are there differences
between the two.
Which model of machine is the newest with the newest features.

I ask because I know someone that works for Sears
who would use his employee discount should I buy
a CompuCarve.

Or should I just spend a bit more money
and stay with the original CarveWright machine
or get a discount and end up being disappointed :(

Thanks for your input.

Thanks for your input. Are these, both, "new machines"?
I have not seen the new "C" machine listed at Sear's.
Give us the specs on both units.

At this point I would only buy the new "C" unit from either source.

The CarveWright web site has the new "C" machine on their home page
but I cannot find any thing on the sears CompuCarve stating if they
also have a "C" version.

I just bought a CW from Amazon.com for $1699.00 and it is the new Rev C and comes with the 200 hour/ 1 year warranty and before you can use the CW you must register it to unlock the machine and then if you want you can buy the 2 year warranty from LHR. You can buy sleeves to use your bits or buy bits from LHR. If from anywhere else make sure it is for the CT. Here is another source for a refurbished CW with the CT and probe and bit set. http://www.smartfellas.com/products/Compucarve-CarveWright-%26-Bit-Set-%26-Probe-%26-CarveTight.html

To answer your question I would buy a CW rather then a CC just because you will get the latest model!
