Does anyone have experience carving the AMAZING GRACE cross pattern?

Does it have to be carved very large to get in all the cutouts, if you want to outline it and cut it out?

Anyone use the 1/16" cutting bit on this pattern?

All suggestions and help is much appreciated !!!

If this is the same Cross your talking about,
I just played a bit and found that I could cut it out with a 1/8" cutting bit
if the cross was about 13.75" x 19.5" ---
But you very well may have to do a little Pushing and Pulling on your pattern to get it to work.

While I was doing a little Pushing and Pulling, I ran across "Puffing Options" and can't find any Info on it,
Anyone got any Ideas about it???

Ken - that is the cross pattern I was referring to.

I am curious about trying to make it smaller ... I may look into the 1/16" cutting bit as an option.

I drew up another one that's 3/4" x 11.5" x 8.322"
that can still be cutout with a 1/8" cutting Bit for
those folks that don't have a 1/16" Cutting Bit

Ps. If your using a 1/16" cutting Bit, the CW Designer software
tries to limit the thickness of your project board to 1/4"

How did you get to the Puffing Option?

waltmere,

It's just Popped-up a couple times yesterday, and a few more times today
I'm using one of my Pc with "Ver 1.164 on XL Pro" on it.
It's been happening when I've been making Ptn Patterns in Desiger.
I did a couple of Searches on it and tried to find it in the Designer Help Menus,
But no luck so far. :???:

Ken you entioned pushing and pulling on the pattern, I am lost there too. Can you explain what you are doing? I know I have seen it in your patterns and have wondered how you did the rounding in designer.

I think I know what you mean, pushing-pulling on the edges to resize the pattern. Was thinking of 3D when I read your post.

Hi Eddie,

It's mostly the same as very one else does, -- a few simple lines or shapes in CW Designer,
save them as a ptn pattern and move them into CW Pattern Editor, use some Blur and Smooth.
You - know -- it's just a bit of experimenting to see what comes out, or what works.
If an element of a graphics got me stumped, I draw it in a graphcs program, then bring that
into designer to play around with and add to my Project.

Ps. I posted this with the mpc file so you could see, -- just how screwed my mind works

Thanks ken, I do some of that too, just not as good at it as you.

Rick P did you get the amazing grace cross you were looking for?
