Hello all,

I am thinking of getting the scanning probe, I want to scan a surface of 11.25W x 47.125L x .75 deep. That comes out to 2.77 board foot. The manual says that on a best setting the memory card will hold up to 2.2 board foot of data. Any ideas and will the card hold more if I use "normal" or "draft" setting?

I botched up the numbers. The measurements are 11.25 inch width x 47.125 inch length x 1 inch deep. By my calculations the board feet would be 3.682 board feet. Should I try to do two carvings on the same board. IOW Card#1 does the first 24 inches, carving ceases and then load card #2 and do the second half? I really want to make this work. Will a normal or draft scan get more board data?

What was your depth of carve/scan?

can you post a photo of what you are tring to do?
It should be workable, I carve lots of large signs, but you may need to make more than one pattern. and register the sizes on your MPC's. It's easy to do.
