My bit has slipped up and I want to start the cut again but I want to start in the middle of a carve. I saw there is a way but can't find it. Mike

hmm the bit was not loose, I thought because of the wavey cut it must have come loose. can the z loose position going to depth during cut? went from 125 to .25 the down to like .05 so I don't know why?

Perhaps you should attach your MPC so we may better analyze your problem.

If you are speaking of the Eagle, here are my thoughts.

Change your depth to .100 and a height of no more than 100. You may like to go as low as 25 or 30 on the height.. Also, see if you like the image better when you apply the "Invert" icon.

Mike -- You can create a region (i.e. rectangle) covering the area of the pattern that you want to skip and set the carve depth to 0.

When I said the bit wasn't loose, I accually did a visual and it look like was in the right spot in the chuck so I assumed it had not moved. I had a little more time this morn so I looked into it and sure enough a slight wiggle and just loose enough to slide under pressure. I am up and carveing. Mike
