Use the ARC tool to make the rounded corners and the LINE SEGMENT TOOL for the sides. See the House Number Sign Project Design Project 4 under LEARN - TUTORIALS - SOFTWARE - PROJECT DESIGNER or click this link http://www.carvewright.com/2010CWweb/designertutorials.htm

I think I failed to adequately explain what I wanted to do.

I want to make a rectangular carve region with a radius in the top two corners.

If you only wish 2 corners to be "Arced", that is fine.
OR
Are you saying you wish to apply a "Dome" to two corners?
If so, just apply a triangle (or whatever) to those areas and set your carve area and apply the Dome as well.

I created this shape with Inkscape then brought into Designer.

I use this one often. If it's what your looking for help yourself to it.

When I make my rounded corner tag layout I get my correct layout with rounded corners using vector lines and curves. Sometimes when I try to change a 1.5 x 3 tag into a 2 x 3 tag the corners go bonkers.... I found that after I make my object with the rounded corners using the vector lines and curves I then make a Carve Region out of it. I then Outline the carve region then delete the vector lines and carve region.

I am left with a outline that I can then change easily and it maintains the rounded corners. I assign my 1/16 inch end mill bit and set the depth and I am GOOD....

Just a little trick that works for me.
