No stall on Y carriage

While laying a board out prior to cutting you can interrupt the Y carriage by opening the door. After the carving starts, I have opened the door to clean excess saw dust but the motor carving motor stops but the carriage continues moving as if it were still carving. I have changed the door switch thinking that it was sticking. Any ideas

That is telling you that the left cover switch is shorted at the wires or inside.

Use Options and Sensor Data to monitor the left switch and see if it is working....

switch is new and I suspected the wires but haven't seen any bare spots. Could it be shoting through the board?
